Hi, I’m Ruben, the owner of Argento Woodshop. What started as my love for woodworking has grown into a small family shop where we get to create and build together every day.
I handle most of the work in the shop, cutting, sanding, and shaping each sign, board, and project by hand. My son, wife, and daughter all help out in their own ways, and our dog Milo keeps us company from his favorite sunny spot by the door.
We focus on custom business signs, cutting boards, and handcrafted wood pieces. Each item is made with care using quality hardwoods, often reclaimed, and built to last. Every project carries a bit of warmth, character, and the personal touch that comes from being made by hand.
For us, woodworking is more than a job. It’s a way to connect with people, share our craft, and turn simple pieces of wood into something meaningful.
Our Custom Order Process
Step 1: Tell Us Your Vision
Your project starts with an idea! Use our Order Inquiry Form to tell us about what you need. Please include

Any logo link, desired text, or specific wood type (if known).
Budget range.
Any deadline you may have.
Step 2: Design and Refinement
We'll review your details and quickly follow up with any necessary questions. We then create a preliminary design proof or sketch and select the ideal materials. This step ensures we fully understand your vision before we move forward.
Step 3: Quote and Approval
Once the design and materials are finalized, we will provide you with a detailed quote covering materials, labor, and an estimated completion date. Production begins only after you approve the final design and the cost.
We make it easy to turn your idea into a custom-crafted piece of wood art. Here is the simple journey your order takes from idea to delivery.
Step 4: Handcrafting Your Piece
This is where the magic happens! We meticulously cut, carve, sand, finish, and assemble your piece by hand right here in our Townsend, MA shop. We'll keep you updated if there are any changes to the timeline.
Step 5: Delivery and Enjoyment
Your custom piece is ready! Depending on your preference and location, we will coordinate pickup, local delivery, or secure shipping. All that's left is for you to enjoy your unique, handcrafted piece.
